From Policy and Evidence to Action, that is the theme of the 5th national Early Childhood Development (ECD) stakeholders’ to be held at Turkana University College from 17th to 19th July, 2023. The Early Childhood Development Network for Kenya in collaboration with Turkana County Government will be hosting the it. The action-oriented conference brings together practitioners, researchers, policymakers and participants drawn from national and the 47 county governments in Kenya, research institutions, civil society organizations, the private sector, donors, and the media. The results focused conference will provide participants an opportunity to share and gain knowledge and insights on cultural and indigenous child-rearing practices; models of good practice for children living in diverse circumstances; community systems engagement through enhanced technology use; ECD financing, investment and budgeting; the Children Act (2022) in relation to ECD implementation, re-imagining the nurturing care framework (NCF); coordination, collaboration and implementation of ECD to reach all children.
